Free Gardening and Plant Problems Clinic hosted by WSU Extension Master Gardeners at the Newport Library.  Free advice for local gardeners and plant owners.  Bring in your plant and insect specimens for analysis.

Pend Oreille Valley Farmers' Market held outside Pend Oreille Playhouse.  Vendors offer locally grown produce and plants and handmade crafts.

Yappy Hour Fundraiser for Angel Paws at The Cottage Garden Nursery.


Free Tai Chi Stick-Ruler Workshop presented by Robin Clemens at Club Energy.  Class size is limited so please call to reserve your stick-ruler for the class.  More information on poster below.

Annual Diamond Lake Clean Up & Community BBQ Lunch.  Meet at the South Shore Store at 8am for the clean up then head to the free BBQ at noon at John Hernandez's Quonset Hut, Highway 2. Two-day Pro-West Rodeo Association sanctioned Rodeo held in Newport. Rodeo performances are Friday and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. A parade will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. down Washington Avenue.  The Old Time Carnival will be held from 5-8pm on Friday and 1-8pm  on Saturday at the Rodeo grounds - carnival games, face painting, balloons, dunk tank, pony rides, petting zoo, basketball and more!  And only 50¢ tickets with net proceeds to benefit local charities & community organizations!  More information at www.newportareachamber.com
