Newport School District is set among the vast evergreens of Northeast Washington and is bordered by the beautiful Pend Oreille River. Only 40 minutes from Spokane, the school district has a small town feel with a big time promise: to meet the needs of all students to help each of them become a successful and participating individual in school and in life.

The District offers a traditional school schedule as well as an Alternative Program. Newport School District also offers a Parent Partnership Program which includes Homelink and the Learning Enrichment Center. The academic need of each individual student is our primary focus. We welcome the opportunity to challenge, nurture and encourage our students to reach their greatest potential.  As of January 2012, we are pleased to offer free breakfasts to all students.
