Rural Resources offer a variety of support services for our community.  Their senior meal programs include Diner’s Choice, Meals on Wheels (weekdays and weekends), and Liquid Nutrition Supplements.  The Diner's Choice program issues coupons for meals at participating restaurants which enable seniors to go out and meet with friends for a meal any time the restaurants are open. Participating restaurants offer many different meal choices with menus designed to meet at least one-third of recommended daily nutritional needs. Best of all, meals are provided on a donation basis, so no senior goes hungry.  Participating restaurants in Newport are Newport Hospital Cafeteria, River Mountain Village and Audrey's Restaurant.  Contact Rural Resources for information and eligibility for these programs.
